Should I stop taking my HIV meds while partying with Tina?

The short answer to that question is no. When you skip your medications it is possible to develop resistance to your anti-retrovirals.

Some pills need to be taken with food, try drinking a can of Ensure or getting a small bite to eat such as few crackers. Plan ahead so you can have this with you.

Some HIV medications as well may increase methamphetamine levels in the blood as well. If you are going to use crystal, start with a small quantity.

Make sure you drink a lot of water! The combination of HIV medications and Tina can be very dehydrating.

It can be very easy to miss doses of HIV medication when partying, plan ahead, grab a watch, and don’t forget to take your pills!
