Guilt and Embarrassment

One guy flat-out asked me if I was a tweaker during sex a while ago. I told the truth, and it was clear he didn't approve. I don't know if I should have felt guilty or not, but I was definitely embarrassed. Any thoughts on this?

I’m glad you felt okay to answer the guy when he asked and it sounds like this raised a lot of feelings for you.  You said you didn’t know whether to feel guilty or not but the fact is we can’t control how and what we feel – our feelings our just our feelings.  When I read your question I noticed you used the word embarrassed which may be a clue for you.  You likely have some ambivalence or conflicted feelings about being a “tweaker” and this might be something for you to consider looking at for yourself.  You could talk to your friends, boyfriends, or a therapist or counsellor if you have one.  Whatever you’re doing in your life, if you are embarrassed to admit it, then it’s worth looking at.
