Clean blood work

I am an occasional user, party usually once sometimes twice a week. I am supposed to be getting a PSA and some other blood work done soon... will the blood work detect my use, and if yes, how long do I have to clean up to go under the radar?

The test you are referring to is for prostate cancer. Drug screening tests could very well detect any recent use of crystal meth but these tests are specific, fairly complicated, expensive, and are not part of regular blood work. The physician would probably communicate concerns about any drug use and inform you that a specific screening was being requested. You may be able to check this yourself on the blood work requisition.

Your definition of an “occasional user” may not be the same as another person’s. Keep in mind that the ability to detect a drug can depend on the amount and frequency of your use. The site tweaker.org has a chart of detection periods for a variety of substances… click here to see it.

But unless your doctor has specific concerns about your drug use, and tells you that they are testing for something, it is unlikely that they would look for it.
