Boy
in the Wind
Randy Anderson
BOY IN THE WIND
Alone, tethered by his
conscious mind,
The night falls still.
Silent noise pierces his ears;
RELENTLESS, PERSISTENT, UNFORGIVING;
In this eternal moment,
He is lost.Lost, imprisoned by the silent night,
His mind falls void.
A gentle breeze crosses his cheek;
Cool, soothing, refreshing;
Endless dusks gives way to morning light.
He is alive.Alive, inspired by the dawn of his new morning,
He sees a glimmer of hope.
A Boy in the Wind,
Innocent, Sad, Confused;
Still night once again, eclipses morning light.
He is alone;Unseen, empty tears fall dry inside,
A voice struggles with Fear.
A hand reaches out;
Offering, Unquestioning, Loving;
Lost and Alone, between the Night and the Dawn,
The Boy dances in the Wind.
