Your experience matters
Tina affects people’s lives in Toronto to varying degrees
and in different ways. We can all learn from one another.
This section is all about that. Real experiences. Real people.
We would like to thank everyone who has contributed their
story, poetry, and artwork. The growing collective narrative
reflects our community. The more input there is, the more
complete the portrait. We hope that you enjoy reading the
contributions posted and that you will consider sending us
yours.
We would like short essays (up to 1500 words) about experiences
with crystal meth as a user, as a friend of a user, or as
a former user. A focus question could be ‘How has Tina
impacted my life?’ The essays can be credited to a pseudonym
if preferred. The experience needs to be real; the name doesn’t
have to be. We will edit only spelling, punctuation and layout
for readability on a web page, but not content or style. While
we can’t guarantee placement, we are interested in having
as much community input as possible.
We recognize that not everyone likes to express themselves
through writing essays. If you like to write poetry or create
or contribute artwork, we would be honoured to receive that
as well. There are no special constraints with respect to
poetry although please keep in mind that your piece will be
formatted to the layout of web page design. It’s best
if you can provide a clear, high resolution file of your art
so that we can present it in the most flattering way possible
given the limitations of image files on the web.
Click here if you would like to
send us your story, poetry, or artwork. Thank you for contributing
to this site in this way.
